Rain

in spring when the sky is closed

and the clouds open

walk into wilderness

enveloped in the elements

that make everything possible

the leaves huddle

in their buds

but no matter

wear what gear you will

you will become drenched

as you are meant to be

there will be a day

of sun a time to repose in light

this is not that time

today is a day for drinking

from your roots

for filling each cell

until it dissolves

everything green lives

for this moment
